At Rogers, we understand that everyone’s mental health journey is different and often overwhelming. You are dealing with your unique thoughts, feelings, and actions. That’s why In our Primary Behavioral Health program for adults and teens, we don’t take a one-size-fits all approach to treatment. We work with you to figure out what’s going on and help you tackle your challenges head-on.

What is Primary Behavioral Health?

“It’s a first step for people who suffer from mental illness,” explains Ajeng Puspitasari, PhD, LP, ABPP, psychologist, executive director, clinical services for Rogers' locations in Appleton, Kenosha, Madison, Sheboygan and Minnesota. “We look at each person’s symptoms, understanding different people may need different strategies, and we work with people to build a personalized skills toolbox.”

In treatment, you or your loved one will:

  • Benefit from an individualized care plan.
  • Participate in group sessions.
  • Learn to understand your unique ways of thinking, acting, and feeling.
  • Build personal coping skills.
  • Practice goal setting, life skills, and strategies for long-term well-being.
  • Work with a caring team trained to help you with your challenges, concerns, and goals.
  • Take part in ongoing evaluations to ensure your treatment meets your changing needs.
