Why Choose Rogers
In this time of crisis, Rogers Connect Care is here for you. Learn more about our evidence-based treatment in a secure virtual environment. >
Anyone who finds themselves unable to manage thoughts or feelings (especially thoughts of self-harm or suicide), needs assistance with withdrawal from drugs or alcohol, or is experiencing a medical crisis as a result of an eating disorder, inpatient care and around-the-clock treatment provides a critical step in the journey toward recovery.
At our three hospital campuses in Wisconsin, our goal is to help people get to a safe and stable state so they can transition into lower levels of care and receive the treatment that’s going to help them make daily progress toward long-term recovery.
Rogers is a leader in Wisconsin for inpatient care, the highest level of treatment for, for children, adolescents, and adults. We offer 24-hour care, seven days a week in Brown Deer, Oconomowoc and West Allis.
Rogers provides standardized inpatient treatment to ensure consistent use of the very best treatment possible. Inpatient treatment components include psychoeducation to help patients better understand their symptoms, behavioral activation to increase engagement and decrease avoidance, distress tolerance, and safety. On average, Rogers' inpatient treatment results in:
Patients can focus on becoming more medically and mentally stable in comfortable, quiet settings, which includes dedicated adult and child/adolescent units at all three campuses. Full-time board-certified psychiatrists, including experts in child and adolescent psychiatry, lead an experienced team of professionals trained in the care of mental illness and addiction.
Withdrawal management is challenging, whether from alcohol or drugs, including opioids. When patients are ready to make lasting change, we’re here to help them start that journey.
At Rogers, we provide the medical and psychiatric care that’s required. Physicians who specialize in addiction medicine oversee the safe medical detoxification of all patients. Our goal is a safe, comfortable transition. Patients have around-the-clock nursing care, and nurses administer approved medications to counteract the uncomfortable symptoms of withdrawal.
Our treatment team develops an individualized treatment plan to support patients during detox and prepares them for the next phase of substance use disorder treatment.
Affecting all ages, races, and genders, eating disorders are serious illnesses that can cause severe physical harm or even death. When someone suffers a health crisis associated with anorexia nervosa, binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, or other eating disorders, it is important to get medical attention as soon as possible. Inpatient care is often the only way to achieve medical and nutritional stability.
At Rogers Behavioral Health in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, we provide dedicated inpatient care as part of our comprehensive treatment for eating disorders, with two eating disorder-only inpatient units: one for adults and another for children and adolescents.
With 24-7 monitoring in our safe and comfortable environment, we guide and support patients as they regain their strength, interrupt the cycle of unhealthy eating patterns, and prepare for the next steps in their recovery. Led by full-time, board-certified psychiatrists, our team of registered dieticians, nurses, and other professionals with specialized training in eating disorders help people reach their treatment goals. Patients receive supervised meals and snacks and participate in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with an emphasis on graduated exposure and response prevention (ERP), to help them begin making healthy adjustments in thoughts and behaviors.
