Trauma Recovery PHP/IOP
Our specialized partial hospitalization (PHP) care helps teens and adults work through their symptoms of trauma-related disorders such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), without causing too much disruption of day-to-day activities.
Led by board-certified psychiatrists, our multidisciplinary team at Rogers offers one of few specialized, evidence-based Trauma Recovery outpatient care facilities focused on patients with a criterion A trauma.
Examples of triggers for PTSD:
- Sexual assault or threats
- Physical assault or threats
- Natural disasters
- Car accidents or other serious accidents
- Terrorist attacks
- Military combat
- Life-threatening illness or injury
- Secondary trauma (such as first-responder witness of the aftermath of abuse, accidents, death, etc.)
We understand how damaging trauma can be to someone's well-being and we have the experience and proven-effective, evidence-based trauma treatment to help. For more than 20 years, Rogers has been measuring the effectiveness of our care in the most transparent, scientifically reliable way possible. Each year, Rogers conducts nearly a million patient assessments: taken at the start of treatment, at various points throughout treatment, at discharge, and 12 months after care.
Therapeutic approach
Your treatment plan is specifically designed for your needs. Our Trauma Recovery Care is based on a proven-effective method that helps reduce your anxiety related to the traumatic event.
During your treatment, you may participate in all or some of the following:
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT) teaches adolescents skills to cope with distressing thoughts and feelings and emphasizes making the parent or guardian an active component of treatment.
- Prolonged exposure (PE)
- Behavioral activation (BA)
- Art and yoga/movement therapy
Family involvement is a key part of recovery that allows for more effective treatment and eases the transition after treatment.
We offer partial hospitalization care (PHP) for Trauma Recovery:
- Partial hospitalization care, 5 days a week, 6 hours per day
Patients, families, and treatment teams work together to determine length of programs based on individual progress and situations.

Virtual mental health treatment for Veterans
As a Veteran or military service member, you have unique experiences that contribute to your mental health. We see you and want to help you heal, that’s why Rogers offers compassionate care through Fire Watch, a virtual outpatient program designed only for Veterans. No matter the length or details of your service, you have a trusted, safe space at Rogers. We are here to support you on your journey.
Designed by Veterans, the Fire Watch program treats moral injury because of witnessing or taking part in something that went against your values, survivor’s guilt and other challenging feelings around your service, the effects of physical, mental, and sexual trauma, and symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.
In treatment, you will work with a treatment team that deeply understands and values Veterans and their experiences. You can expect effective treatments to help you realign with your values and live a life built around what matters most to you, to build skills that reduce symptoms, work through emotions, and build self-compassion, and take part in treatment with others who have similar experiences.
