Eating Disorder Recovery PHP/IOP
It isn’t easy to keep up with your healthy eating and exercise behaviors with the stress of home, relationships, social media and more pressing down on you or your child. If you or someone you know needs help making minor adjustments in disordered eating behaviors and thinking patterns or would benefit from a less intensive level of care after treatment in a residential or inpatient setting, our specialized partial hospitalization (PHP) or intensive outpatient (IOP) care options may be right for you.
PHP/IOP offers two levels of specialized eating disorder treatment
Serving children, teens, and adults with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, and other eating disorders, this treatment is offered during the day, often lasting six to eight weeks, and includes supervised meals, nutritional education, and medical monitoring.
- Partial hospitalization care
(6 to 7 hours a day/4 to 5 days a week)
- Intensive outpatient care
(3 hours a day, 5 days a week)
Patients, families, and treatment teams work together to determine length of programs based on individual progress and situations.
With a care team led by a board-certified adult or child/adolescent psychiatrist specializing in eating disorders, we help you reach the healthy place you want to be, while you stay connected with family, friends, school or work. Between treatment sessions, you can practice the skills and techniques you learn and continue to build your resilience.
Family involvement and education play key roles in your or your child's treatment success. We’ll help you and your family address the social, emotional and medical aspects related to your disorder and gain skills to continue a healthy life beyond Rogers.
