Reflecting back on grade school, Briden recalls feeling like no one liked or understood her. She didn’t like herself, and she kept her struggle a secret. Briden says by the time she started high school, her battle with self-esteem and depression led to eating disorder behaviors. Her dietician encouraged her to seek treatment at Rogers. It took some time, but eventually, she made the call for help and was admitted to Focus Depression Recovery adolescent residential care in Oconomowoc.
“Getting treatment is one of the most profound and amazing ways I’ve helped myself in my life,” says Briden.
