Sarah Vaithilingam, MD

Psychiatrist

Sarah Vaithilingam, MD, is a psychiatrist at Rogers in Brown Deer, where she works with children and adolescents receiving inpatient treatment.

Dr. Vaithilingam graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry. She received her medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados. Dr. Vaithilingam completed her general psychiatry residency at Westchester Medical Center in New York where she was chief resident. She led a team and developed a proposal to build a multisensory room on the child and adolescent unit at the Behavioral Health Center. The goal of the project was to create a room to help patients manage their behavior, have a “safe space” wile hospitalized, and address sensory stimulation problems. Additionally, Dr. Vaithilingam completed a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire.

Dr. Vaithilingam is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.
