Nicolette Weisensel, MD, FAPA
Psychiatrist
Nicolette Weisensel, MD, FAPA, is a board-certified psychiatrist at Rogers Behavioral Health in Oconomowoc where she works with adult patients in the OCD and Anxiety programs.
Dr. Weisensel graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Marian College and earned her Medical Degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison, Wisconsin. She completed her residency at the Department of Psychiatry University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics where she also served as chief resident.
After her residency, Dr. Weisensel worked at Rogers in multiple roles and programs including adult residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) OCD; adult inpatient (including serving as medical director), residential, PHP and IOP Eating Disorder Recovery. Dr. Weisensel has also been the attending psychiatrist in the OCD and Eating Disorder Recovery combined residential program, General Mental Health Recovery PHP and IOP, Trauma Recovery PHP and IOP, and the Depression Recovery PHP and IOP.
She has presented nationally on eating disorders as well as eating disorders and co-occurring OCD. Her collaborative work has been published, including in Best Practices in Mental Health: An International Journal and Eating and Weight Disorders. She was a founding partner of a southeastern Wisconsin outpatient eating disorder clinic as well.
Dr. Weisensel also served as a psychiatric consultant to a large population of individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome. As part of her role, she worked collaboratively with nationally recognized leaders in the research and treatment of Prader-Willi Syndrome, including presenting lectures nationally and internationally. This work has been published, including in the American Journal of Clinical Genetics and the Journal of Medical Genetics.
Dr. Weisensel is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Wisconsin Psychiatric Association, and the Wisconsin Medical Association. Back
