Peter DeVries, MD

Medical Director, Adult Inpatient Eating Disorder Recovery, Oconomowoc, Psychiatrist

Peter DeVries, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who serves as medical Director for Adult Inpatient Eating Disorder Recovery in Oconomowoc.

He completed his adult psychiatry residency from Medical College of Wisconsin and earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He studied microbiology and Spanish at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where he received his bachelor’s degree.

Dr. DeVries is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Academy of Wisconsin Psychiatric Association, and Wisconsin Medical Society. He has presented at local, regional, and national events, and his research and clinical interests include agitation management, post-traumatic stress disorder, and eating disorders.

Dr. DeVries has volunteered as a mental health advocate, educator, and Spanish interpreter. An avid runner, he was a mentor for Girls on the Run of Southeastern Wisconsin and qualified on multiple occasions for the Boston Marathon.
