Lara Adeyemi, DNP, MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Lara Adeyemi, DNP, MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner at Rogers’ Atlanta outpatient center. She has nearly a decade of experience in behavioral health, including child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, treating patients struggling with depression, trauma, substance abuse and addiction, OCD, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and psychosis. Dr. Adeyemi also provides telemedicine coverage. Dr. Adeyemi made history with Rogers as one its first nurse practitioners to start operating one of its clinics.
Dr. Adeyemi earned her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from University of New Brunswick Canada in 2007, followed by her Master of Science in Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in 2014. She then earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Brandman University in 2019.
Dr. Adeyemi has experiences in various setting that includes inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient care. She was previously a nurse practitioner at Signify Health in Dallas, Texas, in addition to a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner at Lakeview Behavioral Health and Advantage Behavioral Health. She is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta.
Dr. Adeyemi is board-certified as both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult and Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) respectively. Prior to nursing and medicine, Dr. Adeyemi studied law and has been a Barrister of Law and a member of the Nigerian Bar since 1999. Dr. Adeyemi is also a member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International.
