Elements of identity (such as race, gender, and sexuality, among others) play an important role in mental health diagnosis and treatment, especially in trauma-related conditions, but unfortunately can be misunderstood and lead to misdiagnosis or incorrect assumptions. Using a multicultural lens, this webinar will address important environmental, provider, and intervention barriers to intensive treatment that result from the intersection of mental health and identity. The presenters will also provide strategies and techniques to improve treatment.
