View slides from this presentation
Scrupulosity is a type of OCD in which someone becomes mentally and emotionally consumed by thoughts, doubts, and worries revolving around their spiritual life and/or morality. Julia Carbonella, PhD, float clinical supervisor for outpatient services, and Johanna Younce, PhD, clinical supervisor of the OCD, Anxiety, and Depression Center adult residential care, will discuss nuances of conceptualizing scrupulosity compared to healthy religious practice, as well as special considerations for applying exposure and response prevention in treating scrupulosity concerns.
