School avoidance and refusal behaviors often present challenges for the child affected, their family, school personnel, and clinicians and can include a variety of short- and long-term consequences. This webinar will help intermediate-level practitioners bolster their understanding of school avoidance and refusal, with discussions on using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in treatment, important diversity factors, the role of accommodations, and how to support caregivers and school personnel in helping children return to school.
