Rogers Behavioral Health opens specialized outpatient care in Denver
Posted on 10/18/22 01:11:pmDENVER (October 18, 2022) — Rogers Behavioral Health has opened a new location for specialized outpatient care in the Denver area. Located in Englewood, Rogers’ first Colorado location opened on October 17 and serves children, adolescents, and adults with depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and anxiety. With this expansion, Rogers now serves 21 communities in 10 states.
“It’s our privilege to join the Denver community, where we can offer access to the highest standard of evidence-based care,” said John Boyd, PsyD, president and CEO. “With this new clinic, we’ll be able to give more people access to high-quality specialty behavioral health treatment that’s close to home so they can reach their full potential for health and well-being.”
Approximately one in five Americans experience mental illness each year, according to the National Institute of Mental Health. The need is especially great in Colorado, which ranks 45th out of 51 states for higher prevalence of mental health illnesses relative to accessibility of treatment, as reported by Mental Health of America.
“By working closely with patients and families, our multidisciplinary team develops a personalized plan with clinically effective therapies to treat OCD, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders,” said Sonia Izmirian, PhD, clinical supervisor.
Accommodating up to 32 patients at a time, the Denver clinic provides partial hospitalization care for 6.5 hours a day, five days a week. This daytime treatment offers guidance for making adjustments to daily life outside of Rogers’ care.
“Rogers has a proven track record of providing specialized behavioral health treatment for 115 years,” said Julia Carbonella, PhD, clinical director. “Not only do patients experience a significant decrease in symptoms, but an increase in quality of life. Helping our patients reach their full potential for health and well-being is our ultimate goal to bring to the Denver community.”
