Integrated Healing Program for Teens

Rogers and Children’s Wisconsin have partnered to offer the Integrated Healing Program for teens suffering from chronic pain and mental health challenges. This unique program provides teens with a combination of intensive rehabilitative services, medical care, and mental health treatment.

“These are kids who have stopped participating in most of their usual activities and have a pretty poor quality of life,” says Kimberly J Anderson Khan, PsyD, pediatric clinical psychologist, Children’s Wisconsin. “They learn how to manage their pain and their emotions to get them to function physically and psychologically.”

“We use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, teaching teens how their minds and bodies work together,” says Kristine Kim, PsyD, psychologist, clinical supervisor, Rogers Behavioral Health.
