Brown Deer, Wis - Rogers Behavioral Health has rounded out its leadership team for its new hospital campus, planned for a mid-2015 opening in Brown Deer, with the announcement of Jim Kubicek as vice president of operations.
Kubicek will oversee day-to-day operations of the Rogers Behavioral Health Brown Deer campus which will include a new 56-bed inpatient hospital nearing completion and intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP) already in operation across the street. The campus is located at 4600 W. Schroeder Drive in Brown Deer.
Kubicek is currently transitioning into his role and will become full-time in mid-January. The former deputy administrator of crisis, acute and long term care services of the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division served in several administrative positions there since joining the division in 1996.
“Jim brings tremendous experience in inpatient behavioral healthcare and knowledge of the local market and community needs,” said Rogers Behavioral Health CEO Paul Mueller. “We are fortunate to have him coming on board.”
“The reputation that Rogers has in the behavioral health world is exemplary. This is a great opportunity that does not come along often: to open a new facility and establish its vision and direction,” said Kubicek. “I am very appreciative of this opportunity and look forward to assuring safe, quality services that meet the high standards that Rogers personifies.”
Kubicek’s hiring rounds out the initial leadership team for the campus which includes Roger Luhn, MD, child and adolescent psychiatrist and Brown Deer campus medical director; Jessica Pitre, clinical services manager who coordinated the intensive outpatient and partial hospital program openings beginning in August 2014; and these recent appointments:
- Ahmed Numaan, MD, medical director of adult services, including inpatient, IOP and PHP
- James Welsh, director of operations for the intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs.
Dr. Numaan is the vice president of Rogers’ medical staff and a board-certified adult psychiatrist practicing full-time at Rogers Behavioral Health in West Allis. He also has provided services in behalf of Rogers at Columbia St. Mary's and Waukesha Memorial hospitals. Prior to joining Rogers in 2008, he served as medical director of the behavioral health unit at St. Joseph Hospital in West Bend.
Welsh has more than 20 years of experience in clinical and administrative capacities in Milwaukee and Waukesha, most recently at Jewish Family Services where he served as vice president of clinical and case management.
Rogers has provided child and adolescent day treatment services in Brown Deer for a decade. Building acquisitions announced in 2014 led to expansion plans to bring additional services to residents of Brown Deer, northeast Milwaukee and counties north and west of the new campus.
