(Oconomowoc, WI) Rogers Behavioral Health announced it will open specialized outpatient programming in the Minneapolis area in spring 2016 to provide local access for needed mental health services.

Rogers Behavioral Health–Minneapolis will lease 10,400 square feet on the second floor of 6442 City West Parkway, Suite 200, in Eden Prairie, MN. Planned treatment areas include obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related anxiety disorders, eating disorders, depression and other mood disorders, and posttraumatic stress disorder. All programs will serve adults, while the OCD and anxiety programs will also serve children and adolescents. A mix of partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs offering treatment several hours a day is projected.

“Rogers is known for specialty behavioral healthcare, and has served our many patients in Wisconsin for more than a century,” said James Ledbetter, vice president of regional partial hospital operations for Rogers. “There continues to be a growing demand for mental health services. We believe we offer an expertise and commitment to specialized services that can help fill needs in each of the markets we’ve entered.”

Rogers’ Minneapolis location will be the fourth addition to a network of regional locations opened since September 2014. Other locations include Tampa, FL; Nashville, TN; and Skokie, IL. Rogers also has three behavioral health hospital campuses and six outpatient locations in Wisconsin.

Theodore Weltzin, MD, originally from St. Paul, MN, is a recognized eating disorders expert who now serves as a regional medical director for Rogers after more than a decade overseeing its eating disorders services, including residential treatment. He, along with Ledbetter and Jason Russell, a Chanhassen, MN, native named director of operations, are planning the center’s opening and hiring clinical and support teams.

“This is the type of care that benefits someone who needs a more intensive level of outpatient care, or someone who may have received longer term care like we provide with our residential centers, but may benefit by stepping down to continuing treatment,” said Weltzin. “In both cases, we recognize the benefit of having care closer to home. We often complement other types of care available locally.”

Rogers is known for treating complex cases with evidence-based therapies and medical management under the leadership of board-certified psychiatrists and psychologists.  “We have a good history of success in helping people emerge from mental health and addiction to rediscover hope. We look forward to getting started in Minneapolis,” added Ledbetter.
