Nicolette E. Weisensel, MD, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who provides psychiatric services for the partial hospital and intensive outpatient care primarily at Rogers' Appleton location. Her clinical interests involve a wide variety of mental health issues affecting adults, including addressing co-morbid issues, such as anxiety and depression. She also specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
In addition to her clinical work with Rogers, Dr. Weisensel is an adjunct professor at Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, where she oversees student laboratory/field research projects in the biology program. She has presented at local, regional, national and international conferences on various topics including Prader-Willi Syndrome. Dr. Weisensel received her medical degree in 2000 from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison. She completed her general psychiatry residency in 2004 at the UW Hospital and Clinics, where she served as chief resident during her final year. Dr. Weisensel served as an attending psychiatrist and psychiatric consultant with Rogers' eating disorders, OCD and anxiety disorders services from 2004 to 2010. Prior to re-joining the hospital's medical staff, Dr. Weisensel was affiliated with several regional clinics in southeastern Wisconsin. Dr. Weisensel is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and a member of the Wisconsin Medical Society and the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association.
