Mirela Aldea, PhD
Clinical Director, Psychologist
Mirela (Adina) Aldea, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and clinical director at Rogers Behavioral Health in Tampa, where she supervises and trains behavior specialists and therapists working in the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care. She specializes in the evaluation and evidence-based treatment of OCD, anxiety disorders and comorbid conditions in adults, children and adolescents and has a strong interest in outcome-informed treatment.
Dr. Aldea graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from The Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iași, Romania, where she also received her master’s in Psychosocial Interventions. Dr. Aldea then received a master’s degree in clinical psychology and her PhD from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Aldea completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University Counseling Center at Florida State University in Tallahassee and her post-doctoral fellowship in the Obsessive-Compulsive Program in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida.
Prior to joining Rogers, Dr. Aldea was chief of the Collaborative Addictions Recovery Services (CARS), Mental Health and Behavioral Science Services at the Providence VA Medical Center, where she provided administrative leadership to plan, implement, and carry out programs and direct clinical services. Prior, Dr. Aldea founded an OCD and anxiety disorder treatment program at Bay Pines VA Medical Center, Florida.
