According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety disorders affect 32% of adolescents between 13 and 18 years old. Someone with an anxiety disorder typically also suffers from depression or vice versa. Nearly one-half of those diagnosed with depression are also diagnosed with an anxiety disorder.

At Rogers’ OCD, Anxiety, and Depression Center, a board-certified psychiatrist leads a multidisciplinary team to provide residential treatment for teens with proven outcomes. We help adolescents regain the life they lost due to their mental health challenges.

“We offer behavioral activation,” says Sara Lee, PhD, clinical supervisor. “That’s where adolescents get back to the enjoyable activities they’ve stopped because of depression. Our program includes a dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) component, which helps teens regulate their emotions, cope effectively with challenging situations, and learn how to communicate better.”
