Jordan says after traumatic experiences in her family, she noticed her thoughts were telling her to focus on what she could control, which was eating and exercise. She kept her struggle a secret for a long time. After a hospital stay where she says she was on death's door, Jordan realized she needed to accept help, so she went to Rogers for eating disorder treatment.
Jordan says realizing she was not alone was eye opening for her, so she's made it her mission to help others.
"There is so much stigma around mental illness," Jordan says. "I want to share my story because there are people who don't know there are others who are also struggling. You're not alone."
