Kendra recalls fearing rejection from others growing up, while at the same time, she was rejecting herself. After driving her car into a tree, her family knew she desperately needed help for her depression. They travelled from Canada to Wisconsin for treatment at the Nashotah Center for DBT, residential care for female adolescents.

Kendra is thankful for the life-changing treatment she received.

“I was supported by a great team,” says Kendra. “I use the skills I learned at Rogers every single day. I don’t think I would have gotten to this point in my life had it not been for Rogers.”

How Rogers can help

For adolescent females who may have difficulty regulating these emotions, who are experiencing severe depression, or who might be at risk for self-harm or have attempted suicide, Rogers' Nashotah Center may be the right place.
