How common is OCD?
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health disorders among men, with an estimated three million who have experienced a panic disorder or other phobia.
Craig is one of them.
“I was almost a shut in. It was pretty bad,” he says.
Navigating treatment of OCD
Craig says his struggle with OCD started in childhood. When he became an adult, everything in his home had to be in its place. He was in therapy and taking medication, but realized he needed more help.
“I’m 51, and I wasted years of my life battling this alone,” says Craig. “I didn’t want to be away from my family, but it was 47 days invested in better days and times with them.”
