Medical Director, Adult Inpatient Care and Focus Depression Recovery adult residential care in West Allis, Psychiatrist

Hemalatha Rajanna, MD, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who serves as the medical director of Adult Inpatient Care at Rogers Behavioral Health in West Allis, where she oversees the clinical teams serving patients. She is also the medical director of Focus Depression Recovery adult residential care in West Allis. Before her current role, Dr. Rajanna has served as the medical director of outpatient care for adults and specialized in treating adults with a wide range of mental health concerns at Rogers. Since joining Rogers in 2014, Dr. Rajanna has worked to ensure patients receive care rooted in evidence-based practices, responsive to their individual needs and respectful of their values.

A graduate of the Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences in India, Dr. Rajanna completed her residency in psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee. Prior to joining the team at Rogers, she served as a staff psychiatrist in the Women's Treatment Unit at the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division. She also served as a forensic medical examiner and helped teach medical students and paramedical professionals. Dr. Rajanna is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association and the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association. She has delivered many professional presentations in the United States and the United Kingdom on a variety of topics, including one on stigma and mental health education for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
