Rogers Behavioral Health welcomes Sebastian Family Psychology Practice, building on decades of community-centered care

MILWAUKEE – Rogers Behavioral Health is honored to carry forward Sebastian Family Psychology Practice’s legacy of compassionate, relationship-centered care following the fall 2026 acquisition of the Milwaukee-area outpatient behavioral health provider.

Known for its deep community connections and commitment to multicultural, immigrant, refugee, and underserved populations, Sebastian Family Psychology Practice has helped individuals and families access behavioral health care for 35 years. The acquisition allows Rogers to build upon that foundation while expanding access to Rogers’ broader continuum of services and specialty expertise.

“Sebastian Family Psychology Practice has spent decades building trust, fostering community partnerships, and expanding access to care for individuals and families from all walks of life. We are honored to build on the important work they have already accomplished,” says Cindy Meyer, President and CEO of Rogers Behavioral Health. “This acquisition reflects our commitment to expanding access to high-quality behavioral health care while preserving the trusted relationships and community connections that make Sebastian Family Psychology Practice so special. We are excited to welcome their talented clinicians and staff members to Rogers.”

Founded and led by child and family psychologist Dr. Sebastian Ssempijja and his wife, Yvonne Ssempijja, Sebastian Family Psychology Practice has earned a reputation for providing culturally responsive outpatient mental health and substance use disorder services while fostering strong partnerships with schools, community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

“As my business partner, our staff, and I look back on more than three decades of service with our family practice, we are honored by the trust our community has placed in us, allowing us to become a behavioral health home across generations,” says Dr. Sebastian, co-founder and clinic director of Sebastian Family Psychology Practice. “For us at Sebastian Family Psychology Practice, trust is at the heart of behavioral healthcare, and we are deeply grateful to our team members, whose dedication and compassion have made that work possible, and to Rogers for collaborating with us to carry this mission forward. Together, we have an opportunity to build upon a strong foundation of trust while expanding resources and services for the individuals, families, and communities we serve.”

The practice’s diverse team brings extensive cultural, ethnic, and linguistic expertise to patient care, helping connect individuals and families with services that reflect and support their unique backgrounds and experiences. Through its community-centered approach, Sebastian Family Psychology Practice has worked to reduce barriers to care and expand access to behavioral health services for populations that have historically faced challenges accessing support.

Patients of Sebastian Family Psychology will continue receiving care from the providers they know and trust with no interruption to services. Over time, they will also be able to benefit from access to Rogers’ broader network of behavioral health resources, specialty expertise, and continuum of care.

The acquisition strengthens Rogers’ ability to serve individuals and families across southeastern Wisconsin while advancing the organization’s mission of providing highly effective mental health and addiction treatment that helps people reach their full potential for health and well-being.
