Rogers Behavioral Health breaks ground on new Chippewa Valley location

New facility in Chippewa Falls will expand access to mental health and substance use treatment

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. – Rogers Behavioral Health celebrated the start of construction on a new behavioral health facility in Chippewa Falls, holding a community groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, April 30.

This groundbreaking marked a significant step forward in expanding access to high-quality mental health and substance use treatment services for individuals and families across the Chippewa Valley.

The new Rogers location will address a growing regional need for specialized, evidence-based behavioral health care. Many communities in northwestern Wisconsin have faced limited treatment options, creating barriers to timely support. By expanding access to Rogers’ proven clinical outcomes and person-centered care, the new campus will help more people receive the right level of treatment close to home.

“This event marks a significant milestone in our commitment to improving access to mental health care in the community and being present for individuals and families so they have the support they need,” says Cindy Meyer, Rogers’ president and CEO. “What has made this journey especially meaningful is the way so many people have come together to make this all possible. From community leaders and lawmakers to healthcare professionals and advocates, each person has played a role in moving this vision forward.”

Planned speakers at the groundbreaking ceremony included Cindy Meyer, Rogers’ president and CEO; Audrey Simmons, Rogers’ vice president of operations; Jason Hiess, Chippewa Falls mayor; Deb Standridge, deputy secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services; Andy Albarado, Chippewa County administrator; Charlie Walker, Chippewa Economic Development Corporation  president and CEO; and Allyson Wisniewski, Chippewa Falls Area Chamber of Commerce president.  Event attendees came from the Chippewa Falls community as well as neighboring communities including Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

The new Rogers facility will be located off Highway 178 and Wissota Green Blvd on an 18‑acre wooded site in Chippewa Falls and will offer a full continuum of care for children, teens, and adults. Plans include inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and traditional outpatient services. Inspired by Rogers’ Oconomowoc campus, the site will feature natural walking paths and reflection areas designed to support healing and recovery.

Construction is being led by Wisconsin-based Miron Construction, which is committed to engaging local subcontractors and contributing to economic growth in the region.

Rogers Behavioral Health has been a trusted not-for-profit provider of mental health and substance use treatment since 1907. The Chippewa Falls expansion reflects Rogers’ ongoing commitment to community collaboration and improving access to life-changing care.
