‘Thank you for helping me find my shine’: Oconomowoc therapist is our newest TULIP Award recipient
In September, Rogers celebrated our most recent winner of the TULIP Award, which recognizes individuals who make a distinct difference for our patients and their loved ones. TULIP stands for Thoughtful, Unforgettable, Lasting Impact on a Patient. Compassionate and skilled mental health technicians (MHTs), therapists and experiential therapists, behavior specialists (BSs), dietitians, educational specialists, milieu specialists, and Admissions intake specialists are eligible for the quarterly TULIP Award.
This most recent award presentation recognized winner Molly Haleblian, therapist, Oconomowoc residential care. Molly was nominated by a former patient who said she taught them that self-care is not selfish.
“From my first day through my last I was shown deep sympathy, concern, and validation that my trauma was valid and that my reactions made sense due to my experiences,” the nomination said. “I knew on the first day when Molly prioritized me attending exposure therapy before jumping into onboarding procedures, that I would be encouraged to take my time to become my own hero in this process.
“I never felt ashamed or doubted, and her heartfelt responses to my written exposures helped me direct my treatment through a trauma informed pathway. I hit the jackpot being assigned to Molly’s caseload and never felt like I was a burden or asking too much. Rogers is very lucky to have this caring person as a part of their team, and she should be recognized for her excellent, consistent, and informed care.”
Members of Molly’s leadership team had these words of reflection to celebrate her receiving the award:
“Molly is an incredibly genuine person which allows both patients and staff alike, to feel so supported and heard in her presence. Molly consistently gives 100% wherever she is and is one of the most incredible teammates.”
“Molly is a great team member; she exudes authenticity and caring for her residents as well as the rest of the team. Molly is thoughtful about the care that she provides to our residents, and it is evident that they benefit from their treatment.”
Lauryn Proctor, clinic support coordinator, Nashville, received an honorable mention after being nominated by a patient.
“Lauryn has truly gone above and beyond as I am undergoing treatment at Rogers,” the nomination said. “She has literally cheered me on more times than I can count. She has a true gift with people and knows when to make a joke or when to just offer you a tissue and show you cat pictures. She has the warmest, sunniest personality. Without her, my experience at Rogers would be a lot scarier.”
