‘I can’t thank the team enough’: Former Eden Prairie patient shares how trauma treatment changed her life

Traumatic experiences can deeply affect a person’s life, but treatment can lead to healing.

Recently, a former patient shared how Trauma Recovery treatment in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, helped transform her life in ways she never expected.

“I hesitated going into an intensive program and having to re-organize employment and life with three kiddos as a single mom. It’s changed me in ways I didn’t think possible. I found it to be extremely challenging, as it’s supposed to be. Every single provider there was amazing. I can’t thank the team enough.” ~ Rachel

Several members of Rachel’s care team shared how her submission impacted them.

“Rachel’s submission reflects her inner strength, generosity, and ongoing healing. She took the time to thoughtfully reflect on her experience with us and offered words of appreciation and kindness, which speaks to her character and growth. It’s deeply encouraging, as it serves as a powerful reminder of hope. It demonstrates that meaningful progress is possible, even in the face of significant challenges. I feel honored to have witnessed Rachel’s hard work during her time at Rogers. Her willingness to be vulnerable and openly share her most difficult emotions, particularly those connected to some of the most painful experiences in her life, demonstrates true courage.” ~ Psychiatric provider

“I was surprised and so happy to hear that she had a great experience at Rogers! It reminded me of why I do this work and that it truly does have an impact on people. Rachel reminded me of slowing down — how fast-paced life can be, and that there is always a center and something to come back to each day. I am beyond proud of the work Rachel put in!” ~ Therapist

“Seeing what she wrote and knowing the growth was heartwarming. I feel incredibly happy and proud of her for showing her resiliency. Rachel’s submission also made me miss having her as part of group. She was a bright light for every room she walked into. I feel mostly happy to hear about her interpretation of the success she experienced in the Trama Recovery program. This was an excellent encouragement and reminder of why I came into this field and why the work I’m doing is so important to people. Seeing and hearing about the positive changes made in people’s lives is inspiring. Rachel taught me a lot about what it means to be strong and independent. She really took hold of her life and capabilities, and I felt so proud to witness this and be part of her care. She faced every challenge head-on and embraced the difficulties. She taught me that it’s okay to be stretched outside your comfort zone, and that this stretching is actually flourishing!” ~ Social worker intern
