Summer may be right around the corner, but your mental health doesn’t take a vacation. Rogers’ Sunny Days, Healthy Minds campaign highlights the importance of caring for mental health throughout the summer.
Through a mix of creative advertising, social media posts, videos, blogs, and other content, the national summer census campaign kicked off in April.
“The summer months can be a time for families to decompress, reconnect, and reassess. School is out, and vacations are scheduled. However, it’s also an important time for families to focus on their mental health,” says Maureen Remmel, executive director of Marketing and Communications. “By raising awareness of mental health challenges, the services Rogers offers, as well as providing families with tools, advice, and program information, our Sunny Days, Healthy Minds campaign can help ensure that children and families are mentally healthy and ready to face the challenges of the upcoming school year.”
Summer resources include a dedicated social media campaign, email marketing campaigns to referring professionals, a blog series and videos covering topics such as how parents can prioritize self-care, three habits of healthy families, and the benefits of boredom, as well as a podcast exploring summer burnout and compassion resilience.
Rogers is also offering summer programs for children and teens ages 11-18 to help them prioritize their mental health and build a foundation for well-being they can carry into a new school year. Offerings include sessions designed to conquer worry and perfectionism, embrace body positivity and self-confidence, build resilience and self-esteem, create a healthy routine, and more. Additionally, a caregiver and parent education group begins meeting virtually in June.
