Rogers teammates step it up for OCD Awareness Week
When communities come together to raise awareness and show support, it helps break stigma surrounding mental health and encourages people to seek help.
With that in mind, Rogers was proud to be part of OCD Wisconsin’s 10th annual One Million Steps for OCD Walk.
Held in Frame Park in Waukesha, the walk brings together community members and mental health advocates.

“It’s important to remind people that recovery is possible,” says Janet Gatlin, Community Relations manager. “Events like this are good reminders of the vital role community plays for people struggling with a mental health challenge and for the people who love and support them.”
Rogers’ Nashville team marked OCD Awareness Week with theme-filled days, including Motivation Monday, Grati-Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, Smash the Stigma Thursday, and Together-in-Teal Friday.

“I came to Nashville from OCD and Anxiety residential care for children and adolescents in Oconomowoc, and I’ve made it a priority to go all out for OCD Awareness Week since the clinic opened in 2015,” says Ryan Mueller, director of operations at Rogers in Nashville. “We ended the week with four former patients participating in a panel, where they shared their stories with current patients. It was an amazing panel and a wonderful event.”
