Gene Yang, MD, MBA

Psychiatrist

Gene Yang, MD, MBA, is board certified for child and adolescent psychiatry and general psychiatry, primarily serving as a telemedicine provider at Rogers' San Francisco East Bay. He is also involved in Rogers' technology and informatics initiatives, providing clinical expertise to support development and deployment of digital innovations through the System.

Dr. Yang completed his undergraduate degree in sociology and urban studies at the University of Pennsylvania, after which he spent several years in the defense industry. He transitioned to medicine, earning his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry and an MBA from the Simon Business School - University of Rochester. He completed his psychiatric residency and child and adolescent fellowship, serving as Chief Fellow, at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health.

Dr. Yang is an adjunct assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health and regularly lectures on the relationship between mental health and current topics of interest such as video games, firearms, and telehealth.

Dr. Yang is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, American Psychiatric Association, and other national/state medical associations.
