‘Your patience seems to have paid off’: Family member shares impact of compassionate care in Sheboygan
When a loved one is struggling with substance use, family members often experience their own mix of worry, uncertainty, and hope.
Recently, someone reached out to let us know how much they appreciate the care and compassion their cousin received at Rogers in Sheboygan.
“I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am for your facility. My cousin, whom I am extremely close to, has been in your program MULTIPLE times. Many people have been diligently praying for her for years, and we doubted whether she would ever get sober or if she might die from alcohol use.
You kept accepting her back and your patience seems to have paid off. She has been sober for a year, and to me, that is nothing short of a miracle. I wanted to thank you for your patience and for not giving up on her. She has a lot of healing left to do, but she seems to be doing well and is on the right path with a better mindset.
She actually showed up to a job and kept it for a good length of time. Thank you all!!” ~ Loved one of former patient
Jaimie Simon, ICS, LPC, CSAC, clinical supervisor, says the team’s commitment to patients has made a meaningful difference in the Sheboygan community.
“Feedback like this underscores the importance of not giving up on those who come through our doors, meeting them where they are, and providing clear and firm expectations in the treatment setting,” Jaimie says. “The staff at the Sheboygan clinic are committed to continuing to support patients and their families with the goal of creating a heathier community. It’s been an amazing experience over the past five years to close a gap in care that the Sheboygan community had been experiencing.”
