Rogers scholarship applications due by September 30
08/10/22 10:43:amEmployees working toward a degree that can be used in the behavioral health field are invited to apply for the Rogers 2022-2023 Medical Staff Scholarship. This year’s scholarship is in honor of Jerry Halverson, MD, chief medical officer.
Applications must be submitted to Elizabeth.Luker@rogersbh.org and Nancy.Gulland@rogersbh.org in the Medical Staff Office by Friday, September 30.
“Rogers values our team members and is committed to advancing their careers and education,” says Dr. Halverson. “I am honored that this year’s scholarship is in my name. The need for behavioral health services in our communities is greatly needed, and I encourage all eligible employees to apply for the scholarship to help them achieve their goals and fulfill their passion for helping people overcome their mental health and addiction challenges.”
Employees who have worked a minimum of 32 hours per week for at least the last six months are eligible to apply, as are their immediate family members.
Kelly Edwards, Admissions Services manager in Oconomowoc, was one of the scholarship recipients from last year.
“I was so surprised and excited to win the Rogers scholarship in 2021,” she says. “I had entertained the idea of going back to school for my master’s for over 20 years and I just recently made the decision to so. Winning the scholarship helped to provide me (and our family) with the extra means to feel comfortable with this huge decision. It also helped with my confidence (I got this. I really can do this!). I strongly encourage anyone in school or with a family member in school to apply for this. Rogers has so many great benefits to assist their employees, and this is one of them. It’s great to work for a company that cares about their employees and wants to help give back to help them out.”
The application is available to download here or on the Medical Staff page on Rogers Connect under Medical Staff Scholarship. For more information, please view the scholarship flyer.
Two winners will be awarded the $1,000 scholarship and will receive a letter of notification.
