Regulatory Compliance reflects on 2021, expresses appreciation to employees

In reflecting on 2021, the Regulatory Compliance team is grateful for its accomplishments and how all employees across the System played a role.

Major successes included:

  • Full mock surveys of all our programs to prepare for the Joint Commission survey in August 2022. The mock surveys found that Rogers excels in patient monitoring technology, service delivery, and data tracking.
  • A record number of employee participation in Corporate Compliance & Ethics Week. Employees tested their compliance knowledge in a virtual booth, watched videos to meet the team, and read daily emails each spotlighting a different topic.

A full summary of all activities completed as part of the department’s workplan and 2022 annual plan will be shared in an upcoming Insight issue.

“We want to acknowledge everyone’s work and efforts,” says Maeve O’Neill, chief regulatory officer. “Without your engagement and support, we can’t accomplish our goals.”

In addition to monitoring the quality of our care and other ongoing work, Regulatory Compliance is preparing to welcome back consulting firm Barrins & Associates for a short visit in the spring for more Joint Commission preparation.

In January, the department will double in size when it welcomes six new Compliance team members, including managers and specialists.

“We welcome your input and look forward to your continued engagement in the new year,” Maeve says.
