TMS now available as outpatient service in Oconomowoc

tms.jpgRogers is now offering transcranial magnetic stimulation as a standalone outpatient service at the Oconomowoc campus, in order to best help those who can benefit.

“Offering TMS as a traditional outpatient option allows us to better address the needs of our community by making this innovative treatment available to a wider array of people,” says Kim Effertz, chief operating officer, Oconomowoc.

TMS treatment first started at Rogers–Oconomowoc in 2015 as a supplemental service for those already enrolled in a Rogers program. The new focus on outpatient treatment for TMS brings parity between our programs in Oconomowoc and San Francisco, where it has been available on an outpatient basis since the clinic opened in March.

As of now, TMS in Oconomowoc is only offered as outpatient care but the opportunity to involve it again in our intensive outpatient programs exists, says Effertz.

It could potentially also be added to other Rogers locations in the future.
