About 150 referring professionals and staff joined together in Philadelphia on June 14 to celebrate the opening of Rogers Behavioral Health’s new clinic. Since June 5, kids, teens, and adults in the Philadelphia area now have more convenient access to specialized care for obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.

Guests toured the new site, then gathered for refreshments and the chance to hear Dr. Marty Franklin and Rogers leaders.  Dr. Franklin, PhD, is a nationally known leader in OCD and anxiety treatment.  He is guiding the highly-trained, interdisciplinary Philadelphia team as clinical director.  “Rogers is bringing together its years of experience and expertise with a behavioral treatment framework that ensures patients get a high dose of CBT, of the highest quality, with a multidisciplinary perspective,” says Dr. Franklin.

What team members and referents are saying:

“As a Philadelphian, I’m proud to be a part of an organization that is giving back to this community with programs and service options that were not otherwise available. By offering a Partial Program that specializes in the assessment and treatment of OCD, Anxiety and Mood related Disorders, we will have a lasting impact on many for years to come.”

~ Brian Haney, BCBA, director, operations

“I came down to the Rogers event because we do a lot of work with OCD, and Rogers is one of the few places in the country that we trust for our patients. Having a facility closer is way more convenient for patients and families.”

~ Allen Weg, MD, Stress and Anxiety Services of New Jersey, referring provider

“This is my first time working in this setting and at this level of care. This experience has been amazing thus far, and I look forward to learning more about CBT, exposures, and utilizing this treatment to help our patients."

~ Jihan Owens, MS, MFT, Education Specialist

“I’m happy to be here, because it’s a great level of care with a partial hospital program, and eventually intensive outpatient services.  PHP lends itself to seeing progress over time. Our care is intentional and targeted, and there are no other partial programs for OCD and anxiety in the Philly area.”

~ Caryn Gill, Experiential Therapist

“I’m excited we’re doing outcome-based therapy. Progress in traditional outpatient treatment can be slow. As a therapist, it is very rewarding to see our patients’ lives change for the better.”

~Jeannine Hinnant, Adult FOCUS therapist

"I’ve been in the Philadelphia area for years and when my patients really struggle in outpatient treatment, the only option I had was to recommend treatment hours away from here. Our program gives them an opportunity to have high-quality care and a higher dose of therapy than outpatient and still sleep in their own bed at night. It makes treatment much more palatable for patients and their families.”

~ Dr. Steve Tsao, PhD, Rogers psychologist

“I’m so excited to be working in such an innovative organization. To work for a company that cares for its employees like they do with attention to training and care of patients is something I’ve never seen before in my experience of working in behavioral healthcare. It’s refreshing!”

~ Jennifer Shafi, Professional counselor, Child and Adolescent, OCD and Anxiety
