Across the system, members of the Rogers team dressed in fun and spooky Halloween costumes to show off their creativity and bring a smile to our patients’ faces.

Several sites have also been holding themed days to build teamwork and focus on self-care for the past few months. Dressing up for a themed day or Halloween helps to spread some joy to our patients and ends the week on a lighter note, says Kristine Bazalar, director of business development, Western region. She says that the San Francisco East Bay clinic has been holding a “Fun Friday” every other week as an optional event for both staff and patients.

“Given the seriousness of the treatment that goes on in the clinic on a daily basis, it’s good for both staff and patients to have some fun,” Kristine says.

Employees have also been making a conscious effort to practice self-care and team building by going on fun outings together. Nashville employees, for instance, recently went axe throwing, and San Francisco East Bay’s team attended a wine and paint night together.
