ERnurse.jpgFive Rogers nurses have been selected to receive a fully funded two-year scholarship to the School of Nursing at Milwaukee School of Engineering.

The new program at MSOE is designed to provide nurses who are pursuing a master’s degree and Nurse Practitioner Certification with a top-notch curriculum and hands-on training.

The following nurses have been selected:

  • Russell Briggs, RN, BSN, nurse, Mental Health Recovery, partial
    hospitalization care in Madison
  • Nadene Farago, RN, BSN, lead nurse in Brown Deer
  • Elizabeth Gilbert, RN, BSN, director, hospital operations, corporate
    services
  • Brooke Scholler, RN, BSN, nurse, Addiction Recovery, adult intensive
outpatient care at Lincoln Outpatient Center in West Allis
  • Joseph Schultz RN, BSN, nurse, OCD and Anxiety adult residential care
    in Oconomowoc

“Congratulations to these well-deserving scholars,” says Martha Libster, PhD, MSN, director, academic partnership design. “They will gain in-depth knowledge and a robust, versatile skill set that can be brought back to Rogers, benefiting both staff and patients. We look forward to seeing our scholars become immersed in the program and pave the way for others who are interested in pursuing this amazing opportunity as it expands.”

In March Rogers announced a partnership with MSOE to develop a Master of Science in Nursing psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program. The psychiatric advanced practice nursing portion of the curriculum will be taught by Rogers faculty, and clinical rotations will be offered at Rogers locations for students in the program.
