Rogers, MSOE partnership graduates first cohort of students
07/21/22 12:10:pmThree years after establishing a partnership with Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), the first graduates of the Master of Science in Nursing and Post-Graduate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate received their degrees and certificates in May.
Among the 11 graduates, Brooke Scholler and Joe Schultz of Rogers graduated with their master’s degrees, and Frank Gorichanaz, also of Rogers, earned a post-graduate certificate.
Additionally, the graduates conducted their final projects at Rogers:
- Brooke created a clinical supervision group to uplift nurses working
on inpatient units at the West Allis hospital. - Joe piloted a clinical supervision group for RNs at the Brown Deer
hospital who have experienced patient suicide. - Frank engaged key stakeholders at Rogers to create a new standard
work for improving medication reconciliation for outpatient clients
through organizational change.
“It has been an honor to work with these nurses,” says Martha Libster, PhD, director of Nursing Academic Partnership Design. “I would like to thank Rogers leadership for the opportunity to create the Rogers program of nine psychiatric mental health specialty courses, direct the partnership, and work with such a talented Rogers faculty of expert psychiatric mental health advanced practice nurses from across the country.”
