Patients and families express gratitude
05/02/17 09:22:amA patient’s father called Jacque Freeman, Manager Patient Financial Services, and asked that she share his experience with others.
His 14- year old daughter was treated for OCD in our Nashville location in August. He said the family had to fight with their insurance to be able to come to Rogers, as we were out of network, and there were no services close to them that would fit their needs. Their insurance wanted to send them to a Drug Rehab facility, telling him “it’s the same as OCD therapy.”
The family fought to get her to Rogers, and he wanted to thank everyone involved, who fought for them here, from the admission teams, to the treatment staff, to the staff they interacted with daily to the patience of the billers and customer service group. He expressed that thanks to all of YOU, his daughter is 100% better from where she was a year ago and the family is too. She has even started a blog on mental illness, encouraging her peers to reach out if they are having problems. According to his daughter, her age group uses social media, and she wanted to make a difference.
Jacque shares, “It so nice to hear the positive changes we as an organization are making, and to be reminded, even for a moment, that what we do, MATTERS!”
Another patient in intensive outpatient services for OCD/Anxiety in Tampa Bay wrote that she just got a job and added:
“I just want to thank you and everyone at Rogers Behavioral Health for helping me get back on my feet. I'm feeling much more confident and more motivated to improve every single day. I'm feeling better than I have in a long time. I'm ready to conquer post-grad life! I really don't know where I would be without the program and the incredible staff at Rogers.”
This letter came from a parent of an OCD patient in Tampa Bay:
“Just a quick note to thank you and your staff for all the help you gave to (our daughter) and our family. As you know, we have been through a program with our son before, and as parents, our two experiences could not have been more different. Suffice it to say that you and your staff got it right. We both felt we were all working together to try to help her as much as possible, and we learned a lot ourselves.
She has met with Dr. Micco already and is looking forward to starting her job this week. Of course she has a way to go, but overall we see so many improvements, thanks to her time at Rogers. We are taking one day at a time and are optimistic about her future.
Our heartfelt thanks. I will recommend your wonderful program wholeheartedly to anyone looking for help.”
