Flu shot deadline, UW-Milwaukee scholarships available

Required annual flu vaccines due November 15

Employee Health recommends getting the flu vaccine earlier if possible, preferably by the end of October. If you obtain a flu shot from an outside source rather than onsite at Rogers, Rogers insurance plans and most other plans will cover the cost.

Those who have received the vaccine can submit documentation – with name, date of birth, vaccine provided, and date vaccine provided – to Employee_Health@rogersbh.org.

Although we will not be giving COVID vaccines onsite, if you do receive your COVID vaccine in the coming weeks, you can safely and effectively also receive your influenza vaccine if it has been 14 days since last dose per CDC guidelines.

UW-Milwaukee scholarships: Apply by November 1

scholarship_tn .jpg Employees are invited to apply for a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee scholarship for the spring semester.

Two $4,500 scholarships are available for those interested or currently enrolled in UW-Milwaukee’s health sciences, nursing, public health, or social welfare programs.

The applications are due by Monday, November 1 at 5 pm.
