Employee Engagement Survey now open

employeeSurvey_tn.jpgThe annual employee engagement survey is open now through Friday, July 29.

All employees should have received an email from Mercer, an independent firm, on June 27 with instructions on how to take the survey.

The survey is part of our Healthy Culture strategic initiative, where we strive to motivate our employees to perform at a high level and, in turn, provide the best environment for our patients to recover.

The goal is to receive a 73.5% positive response or greater on a seven-question index related to satisfaction, pride, and commitment to the job and organization.

“We value feedback and ideas from all our employees,” says Brian Kramer, vice president, Human Resources. “System leadership is committed to doing our part to actively address concerns and to make improvements as we continue to strive to achieve a healthy culture with a highly engaged team.”

For instance, some changes that have been made as a result of recent surveys include:

  • Implementing the Lyra behavioral health service for employees and their families
  • Developing a ride share program for our staff at Brown Deer, West Allis, and Oconomowoc campuses
  • Creating the RN career path program
  • Increasing EDI talent pipelines

In the last full survey in 2020, Rogers’ overall employee engagement was 74%.

A new short “pulse survey” was conducted in late 2021, with 81% of employees reporting 69% positive responses and calling out strong teamwork, collaboration, and ethics, among other strengths. Some keys areas for improvement included a greater understanding of employee challenges and workload due to staffing concerns and improving the process for reporting medication errors.
