The Rogers–Oconomowoc Corporate Center office held a Chili Cook-off and launched an inter-office donation competition benefiting the area food pantry.

Team members at the Corporate Center were able to sample each chili for lunch and vote for their favorite. Candy Woodworth, Payroll manager, was voted the best chili in the cook-off.

  • First Place: Candy Woodworth, Payroll Manager – White Chicken Chili
  • Second Place: Renae Mutchie, buyer in Purchasing – Steak Chili
  • Third Place: Sylvia Winzentsen, regulatory compliance specialist – Beef and Beans Chili

The event was put together by Kimberly Teresinski, senior accountant at Rogers, who says she hopes to bring back the cook-off and year of giving campaign next year as well, and possibly expand to other locations.

“The Chili Cook-off was our way to bring co-workers together, have some fun, and introduce the Year of Giving,” Kimberly says. “The more we work together the more we can accomplish.”

The Year of Giving is a year-long food pantry drive with a new theme each month for non-perishable items. Each month a new flyer will detail the item or theme. The corporate office was broken into four teams and there is a prize each month for the team with the most donations.

“The Year of Giving campaign allows us to give to those who need a helping hand,” Kimberly says. “Over the next year, the Corporate office will take this on with some light competition for some fun while also helping our community. If everyone in this office bought one extra item each week at the grocery store, we would donate more than 2,500 items of non-perishable food in a year.”
