On hand were Marion Davis, milieu specialist; Kendra Stea, executive director, Team and Patient Safety and Advocacy; and directors of Patient Safety, Courtney Barnard and Pat Lewis.
“We are super proud of Calvin,” says Kendra. “His calm demeanor and soft-spoken approach allows him to build immediate rapport with our patients, even when they’re really struggling. He’s a positive presence for our patients and his colleagues and goes above and beyond constantly to ensure patients’ and colleagues’ needs are met.”
Teammate Marion Davis says the award is well-deserved.
“I’ve been working with Calvin for the last two years,” says Marion. “When I found out he was receiving the One Rogers award I was so excited for him. He’s always willing to go the extra mile for our patients and demonstrates superior interpersonal skills. I’m pleased to work with someone like Calvin.”
“I live by the saying, ‘Be the change you want to see in the world,’” says Calvin. “It’s always stuck with me. I’m honored that I was chosen and that my teammates saw something in me to hire me and then gift me this award.”
