The sun is shining, snow is long gone, and leaves are returning to the trees. In other words, it’s time to participate in NAMI Walks, OCD Walks, and other mental health walks near our locations!

The Rogers team had a strong showing at the annual Greater Milwaukee NAMI Walk on May 18 with around 30 walkers helping to raise $3,247, surpassing our team goal of $2,000. The event has currently raised more than $180,200 so far to support NAMI’s mission to end stigma and help those who are suffering from mental illness.

Tama’ra Reed, experiential therapist and team captain for our Milwaukee-area NAMI Walks, coordinated our efforts and was impressed by this year’s showing from Rogers.

“The energy and commitment from everyone were amazing this year,” Tama’ra says. “Not only did we reach our highest level of donations, but we had fun doing it!”

Congratulations to Jeffrey Schroeder, clinical supervisor, who raised more than $1,000, and thanks to Mandy Isaacson, Tara Razo, Andrea Carroll, and Ken Hartenstein for their contributions to making the event a special one.

A schedule for the 2019 NAMI Walks near each of our clinics and other mental health walks are available on Rogers Connect. If you know of a mental health walk that your location will be participating in, please email Isaac.Federspiel@rogersbh.org to have it added to the schedule.
