Rogers therapist participates in expert panel educating community about OCD

Rogers’ Angela Kupper, OCD and Anxiety therapist at Silver Lake Outpatient Center in Oconomowoc, recently shared her expertise at an event hosted by OCD Wisconsin and sponsored by Rogers. Community members watched the award-winning film, “UNSTUCK: An OCD Kids Movie,” which explains OCD through the eyes of young people as they share how they learned to face their fears and regain control of their lives. Following the screening a panel of experts, which included Angela and several people with lived experience, answered audience questions about OCD.
“The community needs to hear about the treatment we provide,” says Angela. “There’s such a misconception about OCD. Social media and television portray it in a narrow and trivial way, and for families that are really suffering it’s good for them to hear there’s someone in the community who not only understands it but can also help you overcome it.”
