Rogers Sponsors Woman Up Expo
02/20/18 03:03:pmRogers was the presenting sponsor for this year’s Woman Up health and lifestyle expo, which was held on Saturday, February 10 at the Wisconsin State Fair Park Expo Center
Rogers had a booth at the event, with team members providing information about mental healthcare and hearing the personal stories of attendees; and Sue McKenzie, program director of Rogers InHealth, was a featured speaker and discussed compassion and resilience.
“Sue McKenzie’s presentation on compassion resilience really resonated with the audience,” marketing and communications manager Katie Zapfel says. “Many people stopped by the booth to hear even more from her afterward. We had a steady flow of visitors to our booth, and a lot of interest in learning more about our wide range of services. We also met with a few nurses who were interested in career opportunities.”
The event was one of the first that Katie has attended as part of Rogers and says that it was a very positive experience interacting with the community.
“It was such an inspiring day as a Rogers employee,” she says. “So many women stopped by to thank us for the impact Rogers made on them and their loved ones’ lives. It really makes you proud to be part of an organization doing so much good in the world.”
Katie was able to snap some photos during the event, which were uploaded to the Rogers Facebook page.
The Woman Up event is hosted by the Shepherd Express, which also facilitates the Best of Milwaukee contest that Rogers won two awards in recently—best psychiatrist and best alcohol and drug rehab center—as voted on by the community.
