Rogers shares impact of Family Room Program at Ronald McDonald House annual gala

10/19/21 02:50:pm

The 37th annual gala benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities® Eastern Wisconsin (RMHC) took place on September 18 at Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel in Milwaukee. Rogers was one of the featured sponsors of the event themed “Color the Night.”

Kristin Wendlandt, director of operations at Silver Lake, spoke at the event, where she explained that families from across the country come to Rogers for the specialized care we provide.

In the past, these families had a lack of resources for places to go while their loved one is receiving treatment. Now, thanks to the RMHC Family Room® within the Ladish Co. Foundation Center, families have a supportive, comforting environment that is just footsteps away from where their child is receiving treatment.

“Whether Rogers is a patient’s first or their final stop on their journey, the journey has been long and exhausting,” Kristin said. “This is what our campus had been lacking all these years, and we are so very thankful to have partnered with Ronald McDonald House to give these families the space they need. Rogers will continue to have the expertise and resources to serve our families’ mental health needs and now, thanks to all of you, we have the expertise to serve their hospitality needs as well.”
