Mental Health Matters events in Whitefish Bay feature Rogers speakers

mentalhealthmatters.jpgRoger Luhn, MD, medical director of Brown Deer, and Sue McKenzie, VP of healthy culture, will be featured speakers in a free, interactive series on mental health at the United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay.

The series starts on September 26 from 7 to 8:30 pm with Dr. Luhn, who will present on “Understanding Depression and Anxiety.” In addition to Sue and Dr. Luhn, other area mental health professionals or church leaders are scheduled to give talks.

Sessions are scheduled for each Thursday from September 26 to October 24, with a final session on Tuesday, October 29. Each will be held from 7 to 8:30 pm at 819 E. Silver Spring Drive, Whitefish Bay.

Topics covered include understanding depression and anxiety, suicide prevention, mental health and self-care, supporting people with mental health challenges, healing and growing through grief and loss, and spirituality and mental health.
