Jump for Archie

Rogers was once again a proud sponsor of the tenth annual Jump for Archie event May 11 in Oconomowoc, and members of the Community Relations team were on hand to share resources.

Hosted by Saving Others for Archie (SOFA) Inc., Jump for Archie raises awareness about the importance of mental health, substance use prevention, remembering loved ones who lost their battle too soon, and celebrating those in recovery as well as the heroes who saved them.

Field of Flags

Leading up to Memorial Day, Rogers team members volunteered for the Field of Flags event at the War Memorial Center in Milwaukee.

Erik Bradley, community relations liaison, Kenosha; Nate Wolf, director of operations, Kenosha; Dione Knop, community relations liaison, Sheboygan; and Rae Anne Ho Fung, PhD, executive director of clinical integration, West Allis, helped place 27,316 flags to honor the fallen men and women service members from Wisconsin since the Civil War.

IOCDF Walk

June 1 was a beautiful morning for the One Million Steps for OCD Walk in Boston, organized by the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), with around 800 attendees participating. Rogers was once again a proud National Sponsor for this great event. Rick Ramsay, manager of national conference and strategic alliances, was there to provide resources to attendees.

Yellow Brick Road 5K

The Yellow Brick Road 5K run/walk and Kids Fun Run took place on June 1 in Oconomowoc. Rogers proudly sponsored the Kids Fun Run portion of the event this year. Members of the Community Relations team were available at event with a resources table, handing out medals to the Kids Fun Run participants.

NAMIWalk

Employees, families, and friends from the Seattle clinic gathered on June 1 to participate in the walk to support NAMI Washington. NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

Other Rogers locations will have the opportunity to participate in their local NAMIWalks throughout the year to help reduce stigma and raise awareness in their communities.

Pride Parade

At the start of Pride Month on June 2 in Clayton, California, Rogers team members attended a Pride Parade to show community support and share resources.

According to Clayton Pride, the Pride Parade “symbolizes community support, acceptance, and tolerance for members of the LGBTQQIA+ community who historically and presently continue to encounter discrimination due to sexuality and gender identity.”

“Even though this Pride event is only three years old and in a smaller town at the base of Mount Diablo with a population of about 10,000 people, more than 5,000 attended the parade this year. Rogers had a table at this event, and the amount of ‘thank you for supporting our community!’ comments we received there was overwhelming,” says Justin Bomberg with Community Relations. “Helping break down stigmas around mental health, in all the communities we serve, is always such a rewarding experience.”

Paddle for Peace

To show support for local organizations during Mental Health Awareness Month, Jenny Otto, intake screener, volunteered for Paddle for Peace. The Grayton Beach, Florida event supports Gulf Therapy, a surf and paddle board group with the goal of helping people both on and off the water. Funds raised will help Gulf Therapy in their mission to tackle mental health issues with “saltwater, sun and sand,” providing more paddle boards for therapeutic sessions and connecting people to healthcare professionals and wellness specialists.
