John Boyd speaks at Wisconsin Health News Newsmaker event

John Boyd, PsyD, president and CEO, was the featured speaker at a Wisconsin Health News Newsmaker event on April 11 in Madison. He addressed the need for creating equitable access to mental healthcare for those most in need, current workforce demands, and how digital technology and efforts to eliminate stigma are affecting access to mental health and addiction treatment.

“We must understand that mental health and physical health are integrated and connected and there truly is no division," John said. "It’s in doing that that we can eliminate stigma. We as a healthcare profession need to do our part in breaking down the barriers to eliminate stigma by having the conversation with every person who gets healthcare and not just in the mental healthcare environment.”
